About the Area
New community, strong roots
Findlay Creek sits in Ottawa's south end, just off Bank Street south of Leitrim Road, about 15 kilometres from downtown. Development began in earnest in 2002 and the community has grown steadily ever since, now home to over 14,000 residents with construction still ongoing. It's one of the few neighbourhoods in the city where buyers can still find brand new builds alongside established streets.
The community borders the provincially significant Leitrim Wetland — a rare ecological area home to 90 bird species and accessible via a 500-metre boardwalk. It's an unusual and genuinely appealing feature for a suburban neighbourhood, giving Findlay Creek a natural edge that most comparable communities don't have.
